I sent the first two chapters of my novel off to an agent on Monday. I know it’s only been a few days, but I can’t seem to stop thinking about it all the time… Except for all the times that I have ‘Sanctuary’ by The Cult continually looping. I am either thinking ‘Stop thinking about your book, stop thinking about your book’, or humming the guitar riff. It’s become quite tiring, especially because this is the second week running that Sanctuary has been stuck in there. Is it really normal to have songs stuck in your head for this long?
Anyway, a more realistic timeframe for hearing back from the agent is somewhere between two weeks and a month, although there’s no reason that it shouldn’t be three months. It really depends how busy she is at the moment… And there I go, thinking about it again.
