Trouble Down Pit

This historical marker was out the back of the RV Park. I think it was once a crossing point over into the field, but at some time it was decided that this wasn’t welcome any more, and the whole marker was wrapped in barbed wire. I wonder whether anyone noticed, or if anyone checks. There was nothing else nearby to indicate the history of the location, and so those stories become fenced away and lost.
