I’m back into teaching tomorrow. It’s been my first proper break since I began teaching, and I have to say I have rather enjoyed it. I’ve been working on a new painting, playing games, getting fit… And of course I also ate lots of food and drank booze over Christmas too. It’s been lovely. I wonder – if everyone had similarly long holidays as schools do, then perhaps motivation would be higher in offices, workers more focussed, and the general productiveness actually higher overall? Well, it’s never going to be tested, but it’s an interesting idea.
