It’s all laughs until someone gets sent to jail.
My big news for the week is that I’ve finished the main edit of my novel. I’m going to go through and polish it once more, but getting this done was a huge step towards getting my novel ready for agents to see it. At the start of the year I made my resolution to get the novel sent out to agents in 2009, and I made an informal one to myself to get the main edit completed by the end of March. It was hard work over the last few days, but I managed it. I think setting these kind of deadlines really help me. When I’ve given myself a realistic target it lets me focus on what I need to be doing in the short-term to work towards my overall goals… And of course I love using percentages to track that!
