Trouble Down Pit

I was watching President Obama talking about North Korea today and the speech ended rather differently in my head.

This weekend I slaughtered a huge amount of zombies. My flatmate and I played through Left 4 Dead on the 360, which was tense and very enjoyable (US link, UK link) then we moved on to House Of The Dead: Overkill on the Wii (US link, UK link). The latter is the most fun I’ve had on the Wii in ages. The script is hilarious – there’s always been a knowingly cheesy quality to the writing on the series, but this one has embraced its awfulness and finally found a home in the Quentin Tarantino/Blaxploitation style. If you’re offended by lots and lots of swearing then it’s not for you, but if you’re looking for something fun and a bit different on the Wii from the usual family friendly fodder then I think it’s a great choice. It’s also a blast in co-op mode. If, like me, you’d lost faith in the Wii then I think this may be the title that makes you dust it off again.
