Cheers everyone!

Today’s post is brought to you by ‘silly things to do with your body’ and the letter ‘B’. Yay!

I’ve always enjoyed watching free running, otherwise known as Parkour, and it turns out that there’s a whole fiction film featuring it done by a couple of the inventors of the form. Here’s a clip from it.

Don’t you wish you could do that? I’m pretty nimble on my feet, but that’s a whole other world of energy! The film is called District 13 (UK link) but it’s known as District B13 (US link) in America for some reason… Are Americans fond of the letter ‘b’? Maybe the film makers believe that Americans would think ‘I won’t bother watching that; I’ve not seen the previous 12’? Hmm… That’s probably it, isn’t it?

Speaking of fun physical stuff, I’m going to be training Wing Tsun (also known as Wing Chun) with Sifu Richard Summers this weekend, which I’m really excited about. I’ve met him once before when he ran a seminar and it’s astonishing to see the way that the guy can move. With a small shift of his weight and a slight rotation of his hips he threw my weekly-instructor above twelve feet across the room. The power that Sifu can generate with tiny movements is incredible, so I’m hoping I’ll pick up a few useful tips to improve my kung fu.

Don’t forget to vote for my comic! You can do it once a day, so keep clicking! You can also vote with that Comixpedia box down the bottom of the screen.

That’s it from me, have a great weekend and I’ll see you for more TDP on Monday… I bet Roo is going to be in trouble…
