It was the weekend before Christmas 2015, and most of the Tesuque Flea Market was shut. There was a bitter wind blowing, but a few items were left out that the stall holders didn’t feel were worth putting away, either through trust or a less inspirational feeling of lack-of-worth.
The flea market is a little north of Santa Fe, and is worth a visit to see the outsider art studio of Kelly Moore… But she requests no photos and so you’ll have to imagine the beautiful and macabre cluster of headless dolls, splashed paint, and animal skulls.
