This weekend I watched probably the best allegorical Hungarian movie featuring underground ticket inspectors hunting a serial killer that has ever been made in the history of humanity. (UK link Kontroll US link Kontroll) It’s a rather odd proposition, but if taken at its own pace then it’s very enjoyable.
Editing for my novel has begun again: I’ve created an altered beginning to the novel, easing the reader into the setting with a shorter chapter that sets up the basic conflict of the novel quite explicitly before hurtling headlong into the action. I think I went straight from 0 to 100 too fast before and this pacing will give readers a bit more time to understand the world before I start throwing in explosions and dinosaurs (metaphorically speaking).
‘Hope you had a fun weekend too!
