Based on a true story.
After my the final draft of my novel was stolen along with my laptop, I’ve decided to find some auto-backup software before restarting editing this time. Ho hum. Still, hopefully it will turn out to be something incredible given the extra time. Nonetheless, editing has always been my least favourite part of the writing process and very hard work, so I can’t say I’m very excited to get back into it. I’m more itching to start writing something new, perhaps even a sequel, but I’d better get the first novel finished… Again… Before I move on!

Oh, wow, Mata– the final draft went missing with it? That’s awful. 🙁 Glad you had an earlier draft to go back to, at least. Editing is hard work– but having to do it again can be a blessing of sorts, as you say. I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

Yep, the final draft of my novel walked out with the laptop. The buggers. On the plus side, I’d never edited a novel before, and now I’ve got experience of having done it once, so I should be better at it. I just wish it wasn’t the same book!
