If you think this tongue twister makes very little sense, you should come back on Friday!

It’s an exciting week ahead for me. Four academic years ago, I started teaching at NHTV University in Breda, The Netherlands. I was working in a new department  on a course which was specialising in teaching students how to work as designers and producers in the video game industry.

It was a four year course and so this week my first graduates will be getting their grades. It’s a time of celebration and a little sadness. They have done amazing work, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them all, and now they will be leaving. They’re pretty amazing people and I’m very excited to see what they do in the future, but there’s a bit of sadness that I won’t be mentoring them any more.

Teaching is a funny thing – you make people as good as they can be and, when they reach their top level, you say goodbye. It’s an odd life.

Onwards and upwards!
