When you’re trying to learn a new language it sometimes helps to make rather daft associations. Many of the words in Dutch are quite similar to English, or at least to old English, but some are completely different. At those times it’s nice to start being silly if you can. Even if that doesn’t help, at least it puts a smile on your face!
